Attraction Information
Bat Cave is a quite popular attraction located in Phnom Sampov and around 14 km from Krong Battambang. This is one among the other caves of Phnom Sampov Mountain but exclusively excluded from the ticket fee.
Any on-road vehicles
No ticket is needed, free.
But if you want to climb Phnom Sampov and see other caves, there is a ticket for that just $2 per person. Free for young children.
Tons of Bats leaving their sweet cave for food overnight. Usually, this starts around 5: 30 or 6:30 and takes around 1 hour until they all be gone. They return home before the sunrise but some may be late too. I asked a man who works there about the number of the bats. And you know what he answered? It’s about more than 10 millions by now. He claimed that was counted and estimated by computer.
For local they mostly eat and drinking something while enjoy bat watching.
I personally recommend you visit Phnom Sampov and the Bat Cave, so that you wouldn’t feel missing something. So be there around 4 pm should be good.
